Liliaaoh! Branding
Liliaaoh! is my small one-woman business, offering unique stickers, prints, buttons, and key chains; that bring joy and humor to everyday life. Because let’s face it, adulting feels a little easier when you’re surrounded by cute things.
Logo Drafts
Before I started my small business, this silly, angry bear began as a personal logo. I first doodled it in 2020, and it kept showing up in my school projects. Angry bears weren’t something I saw often in design, which made it feel unique. And it perfectly captured how I wanted to represent myself: bold, playful, and a little mischievous.
When I transitioned to college, I simplified the bear into a cleaner logo for my portfolio, using magenta and yellow. The bold colors catch the eye, while the minimal design keeps it readable and memorable.
Logo Drafts Cont.
Post-grad, I refreshed my branding by softening my angry bear logo and giving it a more mischievous side profile. Kind of reverting back to its 2020 design. I explored using my name but ultimately chose a no-text version, keeping the magenta color, hand-drawn style, and star elements to stay true to my playful identity
Design System
To match the soft and playful look, I chose typefaces that feel approachable while remaining readable. For the products and signage, I used a handwritten font to draw in shoppers and stay consistent with the playful theme. In addition to the magenta and yellow, I chose green as a contrasting color to balance the warmth. Together, the palette makes the brand feel sweet, friendly, and inviting.
The scariest part of being a small business owner? Keeping up with social media. I carry my brand’s color palette and illustrations, especially my signature stars into my posts. When I attend markets, I create special content to attract viewers and highlight upcoming events. It’s also a fun way to announce new product drops at those markets
Startup!!
Since my first market on December 9, 2023, my branding has grown. Not just in my booth setup, but in the designs I choose to share and the audience I create for. By mid-2024, I had solidified my brand colors and typefaces. It’s been exciting to see this brand evolve, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next!
